Folder ProgramData missing

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'd really know if Acronis knows that on Windows 7 (in the selection dialog of the Nonstop Backup, where to chose what to backup, on drive C: the folder ProgramData is missing (at least on x64 systems)?

Perhaps they think that this folder is not important enough? ;-)

EDIT: BTW, does any link of the error dialogs work? I already got different error messages but none of the displayed links leading to an explanation but to a site that tells that nothing could be found. :-(  It's far more than disapointing...

In Windows Explorer, unhide hidden folders. Then launch ATI, you should see the programdata folder.

Hi,

o.k. that it was. But IMHO this it a little bit curios because what does the visibility of files and folders in the explorer has to do with those of the selection dialog of a backup software. Inside the backup software all files and folders should be visible. In the explorer it is some kind of security but this can be a problem in a backup software.

Just my five cent as a Software Developer for about 20 years. ;-)

So now I've to search for the other error because Nonstop Backup does not work. Each time, directly after the start, it stops with the error that source is not selected. And the link in the displayed error code of the log ('0x000B03ED') leads to nothing because nothing is found.

Do U know if there is a debug option which is more communicative?

There is no debug option, unfortunately. Try to delete the NSB task, reboot and create a new NSB task. If that doesn't fix it, unintall ATI, reboot and reinstall.

First it seems to work but as I took a look at the log I could see some errors. And now, after rebooting again directly after Windows startet, the hint appears, that the continous backup was stopped because of errors. Take a look at the screenshot oft the log.

EDIT: This was just a preview.

Does it work when you select a folder with regular user content? I am wondering if it doesn't get stuck on some locked file in the folders you selected.
