Full Disk Restore does not restore Acronis Backup Image Files
I just performed a full Disk restore using TIH 2013 boot disk. Everything restored beautifully except my Acronis backup images. Every folder that contained Acronis 2013 backup images is empty. Did I miss something when I performed this restore?

.tib files are excluded from the backup by default. The folders that contained them were backed up, but the backup task did not include them unless you changed the default exclude options.

James is, of course, correct.
The bigger issue is: why would you write your backups to the disk you're backing up? That is zero redundancy and invalidates the benefit of a backup. If that drive fails you lose the drive contents and the backups, so you cannot restore.

Thanks you, James F! tuttle: You are making false assumptions. The backups that were on the restored disk were for files on a different OS/disk.

We sometimes make reasonable assumptions when posts lack relevant information.

Yes, and it's reasonable to assume that drives that contain backup images for other drives sometimes fail and need to be restored.

If you really want to backup those .tib backups, a file-based backup utiliity would be a better choice.

The original question has been asked and answered. Thank you, James F.

Your welcome.
I wish the default settings were not to exclude anything.
