GUI/ support

Thread needs solution

When I attempted to get support, support is only offered for 2014 and before and that on a fee basis only.

About 30 seconds after installing 2015, I realized that the GUI is worthless for me. In the Backup list, the width of the view cannot be changed. It cannot be sorted. It cannot be filtered. Mouseover of the file name does nothing.

I have over 100 backup files stored on this computer and it lists them all. No favorites. No way to tell one from another of the 30 or so similarly named backups because the right end of the file name is simply invisible and cannot be seen.

Tell me if I am wrong.

The list of backup shouldn't list over 100 backup files in a normal case, because this list is supposed to list backup tasks, not backup files (a backup task generates several backup files, typically). Normally, uses have only a handful of backup tasks.
When you install ATI, it looks for existing backup files, and list them separately if it cannot link them in backup chains.
ATI doesn't need to list of these files anyway to do any recovery. At recovery time, you would simply indicate which abckup file you want to recover from.

To get you out of your situation, move your existing backup files to another directory on the same volume/partition, remove (don't delete) all the backup files from the backup task list, and create a new backup task.
