Has anyone got a solution for extremely slow ATIH2013 backups

Thread needs solution

Has anyone got a solution for extremely slow ATIH2013 backups ? Every query I have seen does not have any resolution.

I am beginning to think that the money I "invested" on upgrading Acronis 2013 was wasted.
I have a very fast Win7 based PC, a 1Gbps LAN and a Netgear NAS which copes very well with large files being thrown at it - cannot be described as slow.
However ATIH2013 regularly fails to synchronise my data files to the NAS and/or to the Winserver2011 folders due to timeouts.
Backups of the 120Gb SSD drive and (separately) the 250Gb SATA2 drive (neither more than 50% full) takes in excess of 20 hours - I am sure I can backup to floppy disks quicker.
The option to backup to a cloud is deeply flawed - it is expensive, slow, unlikely to help when you need to rebuild your PC and to my mind a security risk. And you cannot remove the default schedules only edit them. In addition if you are on a restricted download tariff (eg Virgin) it may take several weeks to upload/download your backup.

I am going to attach another drive to see if a restore actually works or find out if this is all smoke and mirrors.

Steve,
I understand your frustration. What comes to mind... could this have to do with the NAS going to sleep or into a low power state when synchronization is trying to occur? If you are experiencing failures, what do the logs state?

I am also experiencing extremely slow backup on a fast Windows 7 machine using True Image 2013 and USB2 connection to an external harddrive. I am trying to create a full backup - 320 gigs - but it was taking in excess of 2 days 12 hours until I aborted aftyer 14 hours. I am sure Acronis true image 2011 was considerably faster - should I use a trial version of True Image 2014 or will this be another waste of money? The desktop is set not to go to sleep or save power. Any Ideas?
