Having problem booting from a boot disk created by AcronisTrueImage2014

Thread needs solution

Hi,
Has anyone come across this problem:

I created an Acronis Boot disk using Acronis2014 and my laptop Del Latitude D505. When I try to boot from i, I get the following message -
"This kernel requires the following features not present on the CPU
pae
Unable to boot; Please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

Now I also had an Acronis 9.0 from early days. Creating a boot disk with that works! However, it had errors in doing a full backup of my laptop's hard drive to a portable Maxtor drive (USB). And also, it does not recognize the tib file backed up by the Acronis2014. (the backup with the Acro-2014 completed with no problem.

Hello Tarique,

thank you for your posting and welcome to our forum!

The error message means that your processor is relatively old and doesn't support PAE.

All current Acronis Linux media require this function.

As a workaround you can create WinPE bootable media and I've also sent you some additional suggestions in private message. Please check your inbox.

Thank you.
