HDD to SSD recovery

Thread needs solution

I´m using win7 prof. 64bit. I created a backup of my hdd and want to recovery it on a ssd (same laptop)
Now it´s working but with a problem. every time when i start the laptop it comes the message "Bootmgr missing". then when i restart it works... I have tried everthing -> Repair -> Bootrec.exe /fixmbr /fixboot /rebuildbcd etc. http://forum.acronis.com/forum/3697 like her described. or also set the system partition active etc.

what can i do else?
thank you in advance!

Did you include the system reserved partition?

Put your old disk back in, start the computer. Right Click on the My Computer icon, choose manage, storage, disk management. Examine your disk. What partitions do you see there? Which one is marked active? Did you included all partitions in your backup?

If yes,
- put your SSD in the computer,
- put your old disk in an external USB enclosure,
- boot the laptop on the Acronis recovery CD,
- restore each partition at a time.
- mark active the partition that was active,
- leave a 1MB offset before the first partition,
- do not resize any partition except C:\system or any user partition
- do not indicate/change the partitions letter,
- finally restore the MBR+Track0 and the disk signature.

My guess is that either you did not include/restore the active partition, or it was not mark active correclty for some reason.
