Help - Acronis Secure Zone deleted but space not released!
I deleted Acronis Secure Zone (> Tools & Utilities > Manage Acronis Secure Zone)
I deleted Acronis Secure Zone but didn't select to allocate the space back to the Disk.
Now if I go to Manage Acronis Secure Zone it will not let me allocate the space. If just shows a greyed out entry "Unalocated 152.0 GB Unalocated."
Windows Explorer shows the Disk as being 152 GB smaller than it should be.
Can anyone help with any ideas on how to get the 152 GB allocated back to the disk ?

Hello,
thomasjk, thanks for the help you're absolutely correct.
2spring, let me add a few words to Thomas' recommendation. If you do not want create a separate partition with the free space after deleting Acronis Secure Zone, you can use the following workaround:
- Create Acronis Secure Zone once again utilizing the unallocated space;
- Delete Secure Zone and choose a partition to which you want to add the space freed from the zone. See Chapter 14.4 of the User's Guide for more information.
Please reply to this thread if you need any further assistance.
Thank you.

I recently increased the size of the Acronis Secure Zone from 80Gb to 100Gb because I received a msg saying ASZ was full. The next back up worked OK but the following backup failed with the error msg "failed to open the ASZ for exclusive access". I tried to delete the ASZ and backups with the idea of starting afresh with a new secure zone but could not delete the partition. I then used the Microsoft Computer Management Tool and have got myself into a right mess as I now have an unallocated partition of 106 GB which is part of my system "C" drive and I can't seem to get rid of the partition - any ideas please? I have gone back to an earlier restore point but this has not given me the Acronis secure zone back - it just remains as unallocated disk space. I also want to upgrade to the latest version of Acronis but obviously can't do this until I sort out the partition and return my "C" to it's original 180Gb.
I looked at solution 10763 from Acronis Moderator Ilya but do not have an option to extend partition when right clicking in Disk Management?
I remain yours desperately in need of help!

David,
If you are running Windows 7, you can expand the partition using Computer disk management tool. If running XP, you need another method.
Have you tried using the Acroniis create Secure zone tool again and place the secure zone in the unallocated space. Any adjustments to the secure zone or the removal of secure zone is to done from inside the Acronis program. If deleting the secure zone from inside TrueImage, you will be prompted as to where to return the space to.
If none of the above possible, you can use the Acronis Disk Directory to expand the C partition; or you can use the free Partition Wizard bootable CD
http://partitionwizard.com/partition-wizard-bootable-cd.html
The move/resize option of Partition Wizard will enalble you to expaand the current Drive into the unallocateds space--assuming that the unallocated space is adjacent to the Drive C.

I have the same problem, using windows xp. I deleted with the available function the secure zone. The process ended successful with a system re-start. But the secure zone still remained. With a windows function the space is now a free space. But the free space seems not to be allocated to the C: partition.
Thanks for help.
