Help me resolve the error of Acronis bootable rescue media?

Thread needs solution

I'm using Acronis True Image Home 2010 for Windows 7. I created a bootable rescue media on a CD disk. But when I boot from the media and try to create a back up, a windows appears with the error message: Acronis True Image does not find any hard disk drive. Please help me resolving this error?

Hi Khoa Le,
Acronis True Image 2010 is a rather old product version. Most likely Linux kernel of the bootable media doesn't contain drivers to recognize your controllers.
You might want to consider an upgrade to the newest version http://www.acronis.com/en-us/personal/pc-backup/ or, if you have Plus Pack, create a WinPE-based bootable media: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/download/docs/atih2010pp/userguide/ (p. 129)
Thank you,

Dear Anna Trifonova

I upgraded the Acronis True Image 2010 to the Acronis True Image plus pack 2011 and rebooted from media but the Acronis still repeats the above-mentioned error message. Is it the error caused by Windows 7 Ultimate operating system? Help me resolve it please.
Thank you

Greeting,
It is possible that either of the [older] versions of Acronis you are testing with do not have support for your hardware. As Anna pointed out, you may need to build boot media that contains drivers for the disk controller on your board.

Another option is updating to the current release of True Image.

You can download a trial version of the latest version and test it with your hardware for FREE. Your other option is building media with the drivers your system needs.
