Help needed for VERY non techie person whose computer crashed in Windows

Thread needs solution

I had ATI HOME 2013 but the person who installed it two years ago did not give me a bootable media. Windows crashed a few days ago and my local shop put in a new hard drive and gave me my old one back (and they said it is still good). They installed a new hard drive and reinstalled Windows.

2 weeks ago, before the Windows failure, I did a complete backup using Acronis. So now I have a newly installed operating system on a new hard drive AND a backup of my old hard drive from two weeks ago.

Here's my question: Without a bootable media is there anything I can do with the backup on my external hard drive?

Also, how can I get my True Image 2013 reinstalled on my new hard drive?

Thanks much,

Peter

Hi Peter,
You will need your serial number. With it you can download the latest build of 2013 free from your Acronis User Acct.

https://www.acronis.com/en-us/my/index.html

This will allow you to install the product on your new OS. You can also download a burnable .iso image of the boot media, or you can create it after installing the software.

Your back up image can be mounted, viewed and/or manipulated after the software is installed. Or, you can use the recovery media to view or restore files it contains.

Start with the user guide for your product, it will help answer many of your questions.
