Help - stuck trying to get backup working again

Thread needs solution

My backup stopped working after a scheduled backup ran one day when there was not enough disk space.

After that happened I manually deleted one backup chain which I have been doing with no problems in the past. I don't have automatic cleanup turned on because I couldn't get it working.

Now every time I open Acronis it immediately starts a backup and it can't find the file and it just sits there forever spinning the wheel. I clicked on the Stop button and tried to get it to stop but it won't.

I would like to just start over at this point but I can't even delete the backup because it is constantly running when I launch the software.

I could delete the software and start with a fresh install but there must be an easier way.

Any suggestions on how to get my backup working again would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You can gry peforming a Manual Validation and respond "ignore" to each error prompt, until the validation succeeds.

What is the setttings you are using for automatiac cleanup?
If disk keeps filling, Perhaps you are trying to keep too many chains.
The program creates a replacment full before it will do any deletes.

All of the next link may be of interest.
Ultimately, you may have to start over with a new backup task after your provide more space.
