HELP - System locked up at "Starting Acronis loader"
I posted another issue just yesterday about my system locking up when i try to use the ATIH 2014 boot disk cd. It locks once the "starting acronis loader" message displays. I think its a video card issue. Ill set that issue aside for the moment...
BUT Now i have a much bigger problem. I wanted to use ATIH 2014 to wipe several hard disks i am getting ready to sell. So i went into that option and chose the "fast" setting. Acronis said it needs to reboot my pc as part of the procedure. Weird, but i said ok. Big mistake! So it restarted but now it's trying to load the Acronis loader automatically - meaning my pc is completely bypassing windows boot up now and keeps trying to load Acronis. But since i have the "lockup" problem with the loader now my pc is essentially locked up. I cant run the loader, and i cant boot up into windows.
Is there a way to get out of Acronis loader mode? Ive tried ESC and all the function keys without success. I also tried to restore my windows to an earlier restore point using my windows 7 disk but that doesn't work either. How can i get my pc out of this auto Acronis loader mode???
Thanks in advance, Mark
I am using Windows 7 professional 64-bit BTW.

When referring to "recovery CD" - do you mean the Rescue media created by the True Image tool?

(That was a good question on disc termanology, by the way)
I have the same problem, and the Rescue media does not execute and thus prevent the Loader. "Starting Acronis Loader..." comes up no matter which one on the F keys I press, or tap tap; and what else is there to try; what is there to do? Doesn't the company, Acronis, read these questions and try to help us.? The computer is virtually LOCKED.
Anyone on the forum have an answer on how to stop Acronis Loader?
