ho to get microsoft exhange to send email notifications on your back ups?

Thread needs solution

Just performed the upgrade to 2011 and this process erased my prior back up schedule and erased my email notification. I am using microsoft exhange server and do not know what to enter in the smtp fields. Any Ideas?

Also why would the uprade erase my prior settings? I'm sure this may be user error but I didn't change a thing just clicked on the uprade.

You have to ask your IT team for the smtp fields. These are not standard.

I notice a lot of that goes on here. Good questions go unanswered as the OP never bother to follow up with a resolution.
