How to arrange partitions in Acronis 2015

Thread needs solution

Dear all

I noticed something different from the previous versions.i can not find the creating ,deleting ,arranging the sizes of the partitions in acronis 2015.

The only options i can see in the tool area are

Add disk

Clone disk

Erase disk

Thats all.

There is no creating or deleting partition option.is that normal or did i miss something while installing the software or creating rescue media?

And for the universal restore it wants me to download additional data to create the universal restore media which wasnt like that in acronis 2014

You can only add partitions when you add a disk, or when you specify a new location for a partition to restore/clone, during a manual clone or a manual restore process using the recovery CD>

Dear Pat L

I am already using a rescue media which is bootable via usb.

For example i have a disk divided into 2 partitions called C (system) and D (as storage)

When i try to recover my backup ,i can not select only the C drive for destination disk at the restore screen.it just gives me the hole hardisk as a destination not any partitions. And when i select the hardisk it says this hdd includes some partitions bla bla and wipe them out ? I am forced to say yes if i want to do the restore.

From this point my other files folders etc. Everything inside of the D partition or any other partition are forced to be wiped out because of the acronis.

Let me me make it more clear

Again ; assume that i have no external disk or dont have any other disk to backup.and i already took my backip into the D partition and i am going to use it on recovery.what is going to be? Acronis 2015 wont let me to do that.because it wont let me choose only the C partition for destination disk at restore screen.it will again ask that it is going to wipe the hdd bla bla

That is what i am asking.i could restore my backup onto the spesifici partition without wiping out complete hardisk on acronis previous versions

Yes, you should be able restore a single partition. Make sure you don't select the check box at the disk level at all when you select what to restore. Just select the desired partition. On the left side, you can click on "specify new location" or something like this. Select the target partition on the destination disk. It will warn you this will delete data, etc.
