How to backup and restore a veracrypt fully encrypted drive

Thread needs solution

I am using VeraCrypts latest version for Windows 7- 32bit. Simply put I am replacing the hard drives in 4 computers. I want to either clone or perform a backup / restore of 4 hard drives that have full disk encryption.
What is the best way to do this.

2015 is not behaving nicely with full disk encryption, unlike 2014.
In general you have 2 options
- do an (encrypted, if you want) backup of the decrypted data as you run ATI in Windows, restore on the blank disk (always from the recovery medium), fix (if necessary) the startup of the computer to make it boot, then reencrypt the disk end to end,
- OR, boot the computer on the recovery medium, do a sector by sector backup of the encrypted disk, and restore that back.
