How can I copy some folders from a full backup before deleting it?

Have Acronis True Image version 9 on Win XP Pro computer. My external hard drive is 250 GB. Made the mistake of doing backups of the entire hard drive several times and now it is full.

Would like to know if there is a way to copy some folders of those backups and resave them, then delete the rest of the backup??? Thanks

Assuming the backups are partition images, you should be able to Mount the backups and copy out any files/folders you want. However, you can't delete the rest of the backup. You can only delete the entire backup file.
