How can I customize a file folder in Windows 7 with Acronis 2013?

Thread needs solution

Running Windows 7 and Acronis 2013, I have a large number of jpeg photos sorted by year and by month with a separate folder for each month. I'd like to select a specific photo (file) to display on each month folder. Normally I'd use Windows Explorer to select the particular month folder; right click on the folder; select properties; and then click on the 'customize' tab. But there is no 'customize' tab - it's been replaced by an 'Acronis' tab. How can I customize a folder??

Greetings,
Can you take a screen shot of this please. I'm not questioning you. I'd like to see the tab and what's on it

If I browse to inside my pictures folder and RIGHT CLICK an any folder inside that Pictures folder, I am able to choose the customize option and select Pcitures as the folder type and then point to a specific folder.

When I do that process, the selected file does show as the first picture.

If I use this path such as the below, the selected file does show on the Month 2 folder
"C:\Users\Grover\Pictures\Month2"

On my Compaq laptop, the "Acronis Recovery" is an added tab after the customize tab.

Grover,
This is my experience as well.

Sorry for the long delay - I've attached a screen print as a word document - not sure I know how to incorporate a screen print into the body of this message. The problem of my missing 'customize' tab is still here. Prior to this glitch, I could easily customize a folder just as Grover suggested - but now that option is gone. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Bernie,
The screenshot did the trick for me. You cannot customize a folder inside a "Libraries" folder... My.. Documents, Pictures, Music... are examples. Move the folder outside of a library and the customize tab will re-appear.

This worked just like a charm. I absolutely don't understand why, but I guess I don't need to worry about the why - just happy it works. I would never have dreamed to try that. Thanks! Windows has some strange quirks.

Let me push my luck and ask another question: In the last round of Windows updates, one of the optional updates was an "Acronis TIB Mounter" - I've tried to install this optional update, but it repeatedly fails. My Acronis appears to be working fine, though. Is this optional update something I should be concerned with?

In any event, thanks again for your help. Forums (or is it Fora?) like this one are great!

Thanks for the kind words. We have a good group of MVPs and users who contribute here regularly. If the update that is failing has an error code, you can try Google for an explanation. Barring other problems, a common cause for a driver or update failure of this type occurs when the installed version the update is addressing is newer than the update being offered. If you need more assistance, we're happy to try and help.
