How can I extend my clone partition to a larger size?

I have Acronis 2014 that came with my Crucial 2TB SSD.  I have a Crucial Crucial m4 2.5-inch (7mm & 9.5mm) SSD.  When I cloned it it created the partitions for the OS, but I wanted it to make a larger partition in which to copy the OS system (Windows 10).  I would be just as happy to make another partition on the 2TB drive, but I can't do that either!

How can I get what I want here?  I was under the impression that Acronis would allow me to partition the disk.  I can't see how to do it and Windows doesn't allow it.

If I use Windows 10 to delete what I've done on the new 2TB SSD, will I be able to use Acronis again to put on the OS partitions over it?  I haven't seen any videos showing me what to do here.

Steve, welcome to these User Forums.

Please see the following KB documents that apply to your situation here.

KB 2201: Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products - applies to your Crucial ATI 2014 product.

KB 56196: Windows 10 support in Acronis products - states the following about your combination of ATI 2014 and Windows 10.

Older versions of Acronis products
Support of Windows 10 will not be implemented into older versions of Acronis products (e.g. Acronis True Image 2014 or older),

KB 1540: Difference between Backup and Disk Clone - shows the alternative method instead of using cloning, plus has video tutorials of both methods, also has links to other KB documents that may be helpful.

Finally, please see forum topic: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this that deals with some of the risks involved with this type of activity.

If you have already created a working clone of your Windows 10 OS on the new drive and just want to change the partition sizes to take advantage of the new larger SSD size, then I can recommend using the free MiniTool Partition Wizard software which can do this without needing to start again on the whole process.

Steve,

Thank you so much.  I will definitely make use of the "MiniTool Partition Wizard."  Looks like the solution!!
