How can I upgrade to Premium.

Thread needs solution

Can anyone tell me how to upgrade from Acronis True Image Home 2010 to Acronis True Image Home 2014 Premium please? I have spent the last couple of hours trying to find the appropriate page where I can order the upgrade but to no avail.

Secondly, the 2010 version is on a Windows XP computer but I want the upgrade to be on a Windows 8.1 computer. Is this possible please? Or would I have to purchase a new copy?
Many thanks.

Greetings,
You cannot upgrade from 2010 to 2014 Premium.

You can upgrade from 2010 to 2014 standard at a reduced price:

http://www.acronis.com/en-us/buy/id/ati2014-upg/

If you want the premium version, you'll have to purchase a new copy.

Once the new software is purchased, you will install it on the new PC...

If 2014 Premium, I suggest you download and install the latest build (free) from your Acronis User Acct - Just register your new S/N. Same goes for an upgrade 2010 to 2014 standard, install the latest build after download... except you will need both your 2010 serial number and 2014 serial numbers to activate.

The new version does not require you to install your 2010 version for upgrade. Just install the newest version. That's it.

Thank you shadowsports for your reply. You have explained things in a way I could readily understand (I am not too technically minded). Thank you for that.

Two things are on my mind here.

1. My new computer has a dynamic disc/hard drive and this is why I have to purchase the Acronis True Image 2014 Premium version - because the 2010 version will not work on a dynamic disc/hard drive.

2. Since posting my question, I have now seen this information on the Acronis site: https://kb.acronis.com/content/3699#atihome
In the second block down it lists Acronis True Image 10 Home as qualifying for Acronis True Image 2014 Premium Upgrade. As this is contrary to what you have said in your reply ("You cannot upgrade from 2010 to 2014 Premium.") I am wondering why I am misunderstanding something and wonder if you might please clarify things for me.

Once again thank you very much for your time and effort.
Doug.

Hi Doug,
I fear the upgrade link might have a glitch as I do see what you are referring to. To purchase an upgrade, I would contact customer support. The upgrade link only seems to provide the option to purchase of Acronis Standard. You are correct about needing the Premium version for dynamic disk support.

I'll also ask that someone follow up with you.

Thanks

Thanks shadowsports. It was very kind of you to respond.
I note the last line of your response and so shall look forward and await someone following up before proceeding further.
Many thanks.
Doug.

Doug,
These steps were provided to me. Upgrade bundle.

Go to Acronis.com. Click on white area "Personal Backup and Disk Management". Click on the dome over laptop area of True Image Premium. Price is $59.99 for 1 upgrade license. Click on 3 PC License. Price is $69.99 for three licenses.

I however never found a way to see the 3 for $69 pricing. I'm waiting for a reply.

Here's the page with the three license offer.
