How to change backup folder to something other than MY BACKUPS

Thread needs solution

I returned 2011 for a similar issue. I do not want to save to MY BACKUPS. How can I change to a folder/subfolder of my choice? Do I have to tear apart the registry, or just buy a different program?

While it is not possible to change the default location setting within the program, the user can select any folder they wish for use within the task. The desired folder can be created either within Windows Explore; or can be created within True Image at time of backup file naming. Note the attached illustration. Many users find it preferable to use a different storage folder for each task--such as one folder with several sub-folders and each sub-folder for a different task.

Initial task before changes.

Choose or create the backup folder you wish when on the screen below. Once you  select the preferred folder, then assign the backup file name.

Stay in the left pane until after you have selected or created the desired folder. Then dbl click on the desired folder and move into the right pane to assign backup file name. Task name will assume a name similar to that of the backup file name.
