How to clone to 2Tb disc

Thread needs solution

I have a 1Tb boot drive and I just got a new 2Tb drive that I wanted to replace it with, but I'm not able to clone the disc. The error message says the destination drive may be too small, etc., etc. but it obviously isn't. I ran across the same problem when sometime ago I tried to clone my 1TB WD drive to a 1.5TB Samsung drive (I thought maybe it didn't like the "different brand" drive so I bought a new WD drive, but same problem). How do I clone the image to of my almost full 1TB drive to my new 2TB drive? Thanks very much!

Which version of TrueImage? and what type/brand computer? Is your 2 TB setup with MBR type disk?

This should be done from the bootable media CD.

One thing you could try would be to use the manual clone option and use the "as is" cloning method.

If successful, you could then use one of the free partitioning tools to extend the size from 1 to 2 TB to utilize the additional space.
