How do i make true image home 2011 boot from a Flash drive
Hi i am running windows 7 and true image 2011 and i want to make a bootable recovery flash drive or a bootablen dvd.
I have tried the dvd method and i have ticked the bit where it says make bootable but the backup always fails on the validation and when i try to boot from the dvd it just loads windows even my computer is set to boot from the dvd first
And when i try to make a bootable Flash drive i am not able to select the bit where it says make this bootable
So how can i do this please

I can make a bootable media dvd and then restore from from a usb drive, but thats not what i asked.
I have tried making a bootable recovery image onto several dvd dut it just does not work after several dvd swaps to validate the image, and then when i try to boot form these dvd's it just does not work my computer just boots normally.
You say ((((What you are looking at is the option to make the medium on which you store the backup files bootable. This is only possible for removable media (DVDs, USB flash drive; not for USB disks))))
So how do i do this to a USB flash drive this what i am trying to do

You would need a flash drive big enough for your backup and select it as your backup destination.
If you cannot backup to DVDs, you should file a support ticket to ATI.
I know now this is not what you want to do, but let me assure you that creating an Acronis boot DVD or USB flah drive and backing up on an external USB disk is the most reliable way to get your computer protected.

Thanks for the reply
Yes i know that mayby the best way to make a recovery image is via the boot dvd and then a external usb hard drive, but i had just installed windows and nothing else, and i wanted to make a boot dvd or a boot flash drive, so i could have a perminent recovery image and not one i might delete in the future, alsomost like you get when you buy a new laptop.
And as for opening a support ticket with ATI is almost a waste of time
Thanks anyway
