How do I restart from full backups when archives intentionally removed?

Thread needs solution

I run my full + incremental backups to an 2TB external drive and when it's full I clone that drive to a second 2TB external drive, which is then stored off-site. I then delete all the archives on the first external drive.

In older versions of Acronis, the backups would resume and create an initial full backup.

Under 2015 I get a message to say the files are missing. I understand why I'm getting the message; I have deleted the files.

Is there a way to configure Acronis or individual backups to just create a new full backup and carry on?

At the moment, I have to delete them all and start again (I actually have 5 different backups, so that's a bit of a pain).

You should consider create 2 set of backup tasks, one for each drive.

This doesn't address the issue.

Same as above, not relevant.

In previous versions of Acronis that we have used (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 2009, 2010 and 2011) if the full backup was not available, then a new full would be created. This is the safest decision to make.

Now in 2015, if the full isn't available, Acronis simply refuses to continue. The backup is skipped and the user is left high and dry with this pseudo-failure.

We alternate 6 1TB drives weekly. When a drive is swapped back in, it is wiped. This has worked for all previous versions that we have used.

We have reverted back to Acronis 2010/2011 which is a more complete product and are reviewing other options for future purchases.

Steve,
You might want to investigate the business version of Acronis.
