That's how True Image works. It creates .tib archives. True Image is primarily a drive/partition imaging tool. Files/folder backup was added, but it also creates .tib archives.

I use True Image to create full disk images of my system, for full disaster protection. I supplement that with file-based backup of user files via a file-based backup tool, Robocopy. You could do the same.

There's also the Sync feature in True Image, which allows you to sync your data folders to another location.

Thanks for the quick reply.
In that case will use true image to back up my OS Drives on my laptops.

But it would have been nice if they have added simple folder copy so that we can just copy media from one Drive to another Drive instead of archiving.

Many long-time users would disagree with you. They prefer that True Image remain focused on imaging, and not add unnecessary features.

There are many good file-based backup tools available such as Robocopy (command-line tool, free as part of Windows), Microsoft SyncToy (free download from MS), etc.

guess i am the minority here :-).

Its just that i want to be able to use my Media Back up readily.

Thanks for the pointers to file backup softwares.

Is there any software whihc actually does image and file backup?
