How to go back to Ver 2010? I hate the new Ver 2011
How do I go back to Ver 2010? I hate the new Ver 2011. I had two back up jobs saved in 2010 home and after I upgraded I can't fine them to edit them. I should not need to edit them as they were running fine in the home Ver 2010.
The backups are larger than the older ver and it has filled up my back up hard drive. I can't find the jobs menu so I can check it all out. Why make the new ver so difficult. Yes you have the easy one click crap but what about the people that want to schedule a back up job and want to manage it as the old ver did ?
I hate the new ver! How can I make the new ver look like the old or get back my old version that I know how to work. Check for the sake of change is stupid.

Dale,
After performing the restore of your prior backups as suggested by Mark, there was a new build (#7154) released this week for version 2010. YOu may want to consider updating your 2010 version to the most current build for that version. Download available from your registration page.

Jan 15, 2011: Just checked support for updates for my ATI 2010. It shows the last one being issue March 12, 2007, build #4942.
Windows XP 32 SP3 (had the computed built and all parts are top of the line and had excellent reviews)
Two days ago I installed ATI 2011. The prompts told me that everything was installed. Told to reboot and everything went to hell. I get to the Windows XP desktop but Windows XP does not fully load up. It continuously goes through the reboot process. Decided to uninstall ATI 2011. What a "fabulous" product.
Emailed to tech support and waiting for a reply.
I need to stress that this is BS. What a headache!!!!!!
Note: where the hell is tech support located, right now California it is Jan 15 (5:42 PM)

Glenn,
The 4942 update related to the older version 10--not the 2010 version. The newest version for 2010 was released this past December.
It might have had better results if you had uninstalled the prior version but since you did not, have you consider using a prior backup and restore your system back to what it was prior to the 2011 install.
Should you want official support, visit the support link (upper right corner of this webpage) and fill out a written request for support; or you fan also use the Live Chat option.
You have 30 days of free support from purchase date of 2011 version.

GoverH,
Thanks for your comments.
I have uninstalled ATI 2011. During the installation of ATI 2011 I noted no mention of uninstalling ATI 2010 first.
The 8" x 9" box that the disc came in had nothing else in the box. No instructions or even some brief notes.
I have written to tech support and waiting for a reply.

Glenn,
Your post #3 indicated that you were having trouble with XP not fully loading. Are you still having trouble since you have uninstalled the 2011.
A user manual is available for download. check out the listing in my signature below for links to the download.
Good luck.

GroverH,
No, I am no longer having trouble booting up since uninstalling ATI 2011. I still have ATI 10 Home installed.
Question: I downloaded the Acronis bootable media listed on the website for my ATI 10 and copied it onto a CD as an ISO image. I was able to load it up but the mouse arrow would not function with my Logitech wireless laser mouse model M505. Why isn't the driver for the mouse included in the bootable media and what is the fix?
Also, I downloaded Acronis True Image Home 2011 Cleanup Utility in case I have issues when installing ATI 2011.
Article #14871 mentions that I also have to have devcon.exe installed. I downloaded from Microsoft and unzipped using Winzip. DEVCON.EXE-21BC8FBD.pf went into Windows C:\Windows\Prefetch file. Do I go into Windows Explorer and physically drag and drop into C:\Windows\System32 folder?

Using wireless mice and keyboards seem to be an issue for many with the bootable CD (both 2010 and 2011 ATIH). Since the Bootable CD is actually running Linux instead of Windows, I guess the generic mouse/keyboard drivers in Linux are a bit more finiky. My bootable 2010 Recovery CD worked fine with the mouse, but the 2011 CD did not. I discovered by accident that if I simply moved the wireless mouse around while the recovery CD was booting, though, the driver detected the mouse and it worked once the main menu screen came up. Hooking up a vanilla wired mouse seems to work more reasonably though.

I've been using a USB mouse with a PS/2 keyboard for ages and the bootable TIH works fine, but I got a USB keyboard today and it stops the mouse from working on the boot CD.
Unplug the USB keyboard and it works... weird.
Gone back to my PS/2 keyboard now, must be some USB conflict or something, annoying as I only use the bootable disc.

Things are getting real interesting (complicated) since I tried to install ATI 2011.
For Christmas I got a Siig USB 2.0 keyboard (keyboard with hub) that also has two USB 2.0 on the keyboard for use. I have my Logitech Model 505 Unifying receiver plugged into the Siig keyboard. I had no trouble with Windows XP finding the drivers for the keyboard and mouse (both keyboard and mouse had no CD with drivers in their respective boxes when I installed them)

Glenn,
Be sure and boot from the TI Rescue CD to confirm whether the CD program can see your new hardware.
Yes, you can put the Devcon.exe wherever you need to.
Once use I have found for devcon is:
I have a desktop shortcut to it and I use the program occasionally to find new hardware any time I have a usb or esata device which is not seen. Using it is the same as opening the Device Manager and having it search for new hardware.
This is the path I use for my shortcut.
D:\Downloads\devcon\i386\devcon.exe /rescan

GroverH,
Thanks for your help!!!
I made a ATI 10 Rescue CD from the program loaded on my computer and ran it. My Logitech M505 laser mouse now works with the program!!!
For some reason the downloaded bootable media listed for my supported product did not allow the mouse to work.
Question: Is there an uninstall utility for ATI 10 Home? Knowledge base article #6177 does not list ATI 10 Home as a supported product.

Question: Please clarify ATI 10.
Are you referring to ATI 2010 about a year old;
or are you referring to Version 10 release several years ago.
The version 10 is included in the 2011 cleanup utility;
At the moment, the 2011 cleanup excludes the 2010 version.

GroverH,
Sorry, I was referring to my ATI 10 Home that is installed on my computer now, NOT 2010.
So, ATI 10 Home cleanup utility is ATI Home 2011 Cleanup utility. Knowledge Base article # 14871 referencing Acronis True Image Home 2011 Cleanup Utility only states it applies to ATI Home 2011 and ATI Home 2011 Plus Pack and is not compatible with ATI Home 2010. There is no reference to ATI 10 Home.
Possibly an update to the article is in order?
Again, thanks so much for your efforts.
