How to include Firefox history in the backup

Thread needs solution

Hello All , my first post as I just purchased Acronis True Image2015.
My laptop is encrypted with McAfee Endpoint Encryption (company laptop)
therefore I am not sure if taking a full image of the drive would be useful.
I am afraid that there might be issues when a need arises to restore.

In this case what is the best approach to backups as I don't need to backup OS or other company
provided software (in case of failure they will re-build OS and reinstall the needed software).

What I care about is email , documents, some items that I saved and Firefox history.
I read Acronis manual and it tells me that browser history is not backed up.
I need it ...how would I do it ?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Chris,

If you want to include your firefox history in the backup, create a new backup in True Image Home 2015 and click on Options -> Exclusions and then select C:\Users\'Your user name'\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, then click the cross button on the far right. Your firefox history and bookmarks are stored in this directory under the places.sqlite file. Click Ok to close the options and then do as usual to run the backup.

In regards to the encryption issue and as for whether it is best to take a full image in an encrypted state, I've heard there are some issues with doing this. To be safe, I would do a backup of My Documents, emails (*.pst file if you're using Outlook), C:\Users\'Your user name' and any other important files you need to keep. If your company will rebuild the OS and reinstall everything then you shouldn't need to backup C:\Windows or C:\Program files.

Hope this helps.
