How many hidden folders does NonStop need? Surely not 4!!??!!
Hi All,
I'm running TIH 2012 v2.1 (build 7133) on Windows 7x64 Home Premium
I use asz on my second internal drive to back up my C: drive, and I use NonStop to back up all my data to an external 1GB eSATA drive.
On an older installation of Windows, NonStop created one folder called 'Time Explorer Storage' which contained one subfolder with a long hex name. Inside THAT folder was one .TIB file, one METADATA file, one config.xml file and quite a few .DATA files of 1GB each.
However, on my current installation, there are FOUR subfolders. The first is as I've described above, the second two are empty, and the fourth has the following: cdp.METADATA, cdp.data, cdp48.data and cdp101.data.
I'm not sure why these two .data files are in a different folder, nor why they're numbered 48 and 101. There are .data files in the first folder that are also numbered 48 and 101 (along with all the other numbers from 2 to 112), so these are not 'missed' chunks of data.
Can someone please explain why there are so many different folders.
Thank you.
