How to Mount a Corrupt Backup AI2012PP

Thread needs solution

Is there a way to mount a corrupt backup? I've gone through most of the topics but none detail a way to do it. I need to compare the backup to a restored version to see if I have missing files. Going directly into the backup doesn't provide me with the file/folder directory info (size, # files, etc) in order to compare them.

Any ideas to do either (mount corrupt backup or get the backup to show file/folder information)?

Thx!

Greetings,
There is not a way to mount a corrupt .tib file. Like other files, it's either readable or isn't. To avoid this moving forward, I suggest keeping multiple back up images and validate regularly.

I am trying to delete Acronis 14 in preparation to installing Acronis 15. The download tells me to delete Acronis 14 prior to install. I have a problem in deleting the program since Revo will not recognize the program. Please provide me with procedures to delete the program.

Hi Curtis,
When asking questions about completely unrelated topics, please start your own thread so that others who may be experiencing the same issue as you can more easily find information about their problem.

This utility will uninstall 2014 for you. Follow all instructions completely.

Ok. Is there a way to see the folder stats like size and number of files while in the backup itself? The normal windows file/folder info doesn't seem to work while in the backup.

LocalBoy,
Open your Windows TIB storage Folder.

Double Click the tib backup file and keep clicking each resulting open window.

This will enable you to see the folders and files stored inside the backup.

Curtis,
You don't delete the program, instead, you uninstall the program. Or, you can also run the TI cleanup utility which is item 4 inside my signature links below. If you use the cleanup utility, be sure and read and follow the text instructions on editing the registry./p>

Thanks. I know I can do that. I want to be able to see the content of a folder without having to into it to compare against the restored file to see if anything is missing. The tib tile doesn't allow to see the folder summary contents that I can see. Is there a way to see the folder contents (# files, size, etc) without actually going into the tib file?
