Hi

I'm running True Image Version 11.

I want to read settings for MS Outlook Accounts or even better restore these settings.

I have located where the above settings are stored in the Acronis backup / image (C:\Windows\System32\config) but I cannot open the file.

The lowest level I can go / open is a 28Mb file named software.

Any ideas / suggestions anyone please?

Google for 'load registry hive'. Assuming that you recovered this file somewhere. To restore them into 'live' registry export the branch of mounted hive, replace in the .reg file of the exported branch (using notepad) the offline hive's node name so that it matches tat of the live one, then import it it will be imported in the live one)
