How to recover incremental backup

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I did a FULL backup on July 6 - Then I did an INCREMENTAL backup on July 20.

When I open Acronis and go to the Backup and Recovery section - it only says "VERSIONS 1: JULY 6".

Yet on my backup drive I clearly see the incremental version.

Can you please tell me how to restore the JULY 20 version?

Thanks.

Recovery is best done when booted from the bootable TI Recovery CD.
Boot from the CD.
Choose Recovery
Click the Browse for Backup option
browse to and select the July 20 backup.
By selecting the 20th, the full will be restored first, followed by the changes recorded in the 20th.

Thanks for the reply.....

I already tried by booting and pressing F11 - that did not recognize the Incremental backup AND told me my Full backup was corrupted. - Though the Full backup was verified as okay in the Windows version of Arconis

1) Is booting in to F11 the same as booting from a CD?
2) When I do Full and Incremental backups, should it be done through windows, or is it safer/better through F11

btw, my laptop does not have a CD/DVD so it's awkward to attach one.

Thanks.

Providing the disk is accessible, then Yes, the F11 has the same commands as the CD.
However if the disk goes bad, hen F11 is of no help.

Use a USB Flash drive (512mb or larger) and make iit into a bootable Acronis REcovery device to use as a substitute for the CD)
Plus iin a flash drive and then open TrueImage and use the "create bootable media" option to creaete the Flash drive. Read the help menu option within TI.

As it is the recovery device (cd or usb) which makes the restore, many feel that as the preferred method of making a backup but actually either will suffice. Certainly there is interference via Windows but this is usaully not so much a problem.
