HI Rob, I don't have 2012 - or any version since 2015 (which the GUI changed in significantly in 2015).  However, it's possible.  When I had 2013, I was able to double click a .tib file and it would open up in File Explorer.  From there, I could copy and paste files/folders as needed -I assume the same in 2012.  Likewise, I could navigate to a .tib file in 2013 and mount as a volume and assign a drive letter.  Once a drive letter was assigned, it was like using a USB drive where I could also navigate it in Windows explorer and then copy and paste files/folders out of it.  I believe the sdame will be true in 2012 as well.

Update 2 User's Guide - Acronis (check out section 8.8 - mounting an image)

To recover specific files and folders from the disk/partition backups:
1. Click the Files and folders tab.
2. Select files and folders you want to recover.
3. Click the Recover button.
For more information on recovering files and folders see Files and folders tab (p. 28).
