How to run TI at windows boot as tray/minimized? (SOLVED)

Thread needs solution

I would like TI to start minimized (to tray) when I boot into Windows but I could not find any setting, documentation or FAQ/knowledge base article pertaining to this.

Could someone tell me how to achieve this and/or whether it defaults to this to begin with?
I did notice a couple of Acronis processes running after a boot but as I found no documentation on the subject have no clue whether this means TI will do its scheduled backups or wait for me to 'start it up'.

I ask because with a scheduling enabled backup solution as this I expected at least some sort of setting to configure program behaviour and/or some information explaining this.
I know TI (home) is a 'user-friendly' product that's expected to 'just work' but that's no excuse for not providing power-users with at the very least some (easily accessible) information pertaining the workings of TI (in my humble opinion anyway).

Thanks in advance for any clarification/help!

Welcome to the forum. There can be no denying that there is a distinct learning curve when working with TrueImage Home.

All backups begin with a backup task being created. Once the task has been create, the task can be executed (backup will begin) either via s schedule; or the user opening the program and clicking the 'BACKUP NOW" option; or the user can use the program to create a desktop shortcut which can initiate a backup without having the program in order to make a selection.

Once the backup has been initiated via any of those 3 methods, the program will have an icon inside the system tray during its backup creation time. If desired, user can right click on the icon and the program will open. Hovering the mouse over the icon will display the percent completion.

Check out my #2 link below for a more detailed illustration of creating a backup task--especially the illustrations 11-Full; 11-Ind; and 11-Diff inside that link.

Thank you for your response.

I have had no issues setting up the tasks and schedules themselves (I am usually able to figure most software out), the whole workings of the program was a bit confusing to me however. I am used to having control over everything and TIH is very very 'user friendly' for such a powerful product. Some people might consider that a plus, I personally am more of the "if I see a setting/toggle for something at least I know what it does/doesn't do".

I take it from your reply that basically TIH will do its scheduled tasks in the background with the tray appearing during backup execution, which is fine by me (and really how I prefer it). Thanks for the information!

Incidentally, in case you are interested here's my disk layout and the backup plan I devised:

1x 64GB SSD: OS (windows7) + applications
2x 500GB HDD RAID1: Games
6x 2TB HDD RAID6: Data Storage
1x 2TB Ext-HDD: Dedicated backup
(the raid disks are on an Areca ARC 8 ports raid-controller)

Scheduled backups:
OS+apps disk: weekly incr to the RAID6
OS+apps disk: weekly incr to the ext-hdd
data storage 'vital' data (installation files, documents, images, photos, porn): weekly incr to the ext-hdd
data storage VITAL data (development projects): daily incr to the ext-hdd

I am not sure what to do exactly with the validation settings though.
I understand validating your backups 'regularly' might be wanted but frankly I am more concerned with the increased disk-wear than with any data-corruption that might or might not occur (after the backup passes validation upon creation).
So personally I was thinking perhaps once a half-year or something? or 3 months tops.. once a month just seems too much to me.
Care to give your opinion on the subject?
