How is a saved task run manually

Thread needs solution

Hello. I am using TI Home 2009. I have saved an unscheduled task to do a total backup of several folders. I want to run that task manually, but I cannot seem to figure out how that is done because when I right click on the task and select start, nothing happens - no message to say I did anything wrong, and no backup begins.

I downloaded the PDF manual and used the search string "manual." Although I got several hits, nothing was relevant to running a task manually. I am aware that I can change the schedule of this task to a one-time event which moves it from the unscheduled tab to the scheduled tab, and then I can right click on the scheduled event to actually begin the process, but the task is eliminated after it runs. I don't want to have to setup the task over and over again. I would rather reuse the unscheduled task over and over again when desired - but I can't figure out how.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Hank

You seem to have gone through the correct procedure.

Does anything appear in the logs?

What build of TI do you have?

Have you by any chance disabled any of the Acronis services such as schedhlpr and schedul2 as these need to be running so that you can run a manual task as well as a scheduled one.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem: scheduled tasks run OK, but unscheduled tasks do not run manually after clicking "Start", just nothing happens and nothing appears in the log.

I am running TIHome2009 build 12.0.0.9709, and the Acronis scheduler service is running.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Henry and Rubens,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

I would recommend you update Acronis Scheduler using the following KB article It will solve the issue.
