How to stop 2012 scanning for backups and bringing them into the backup boxes

Thread needs solution

I bought and installed 2012 and as I have many backupxxx.TIB Files from several other computers on my internal drives (My PC is used as copy location for other backups, to double double sure) True Home keeps filling endlessly the main page.

I would like to see only the backups I activel run on my PC, which are a system backup (full) and one which does automatic backups from my documents.

The endles scanning and filling makes the response slow and it keeps pushing the interesting backups away.....

There is a little star at the top which tells me that I can blend out the ones I do not prefer, but I cannot find out HOW to do this.... so taht is basicaly my question:-)

thanks !

You cannot stop it. You'd better let it finish completely before removing the backups.

In the future, if you uninstall ATI and use the cleanup utility, you can put all your TIB files in a hidden folder, then install ATI. ONce you have executed some backups, you can unhide the folder.

In 2011 and 2012 versions, there is a one button remove to all tasks. This will remove any old and new tasks so no tasks are listed. If you have new 2012 tasks, you will need to recreate them. So your choice becomes to either remove them all at once or remove them one at a time. Item 3-DD in the attachment below shows the one button remove all.

Or, you may want to try the other option listed with 3-DD depending the status of your tasks.

Note the 2012 Help file along the left margin which has lots of good info.

Thanks for quick response and help !

I seem to have two options ( after have ATI run throug once and find all existing backup files... )

1. Remove ALL from List and recreate my 2 backups (the system one and the my doc one. Not a big deal)
OR...
2. Mark these two as "favorite" and use the star Icon to show only these two backups (Icon as in above answer nr. 1.)

Now my question comes.... (I checked the manual, but could not find it...)
HOW can I mark a backup as "favorite"? It must be very simple, hence I overlooked it ;-)

Thanks again for helping

OK, I found it.... too simple....

just click the star in the backup box

ALL is fine now
