How to to a System Restore: Full-Backup or Incremental Backup?

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis True Image Home - 2010 and I have one full backup and one incremental backup on my portable hard-drive. If I need to restore my system in the case of a catastrophic problem, how should I restore the system? In other words, should restore the full backup first and then the incremental back up? Or, should I just restore the incremental backup? Or, something else? Thanks for any and all help with this.

You simply point ATI at the backup you want to restore and ATI will do the rest. If it is an incremental, ATI will restore data from the full, and any subsequent incremental until the one you selected.

My hard drive is being replaced. Do I use the same protocol with ATI 2014?All the incremental files are in the same folder.

Yes. Select the specific single incremental backup which you want restored and the program will restore the full and all inc up to and including the one you selected for restore.
