How is TI 2014 holding up?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Ive been using memeo and an OEM version of TI 2014 for a while.

Recently upgraded to TI 2016 and have been having some issues related to network credentials for destination shares (PC user account has no access. Need acronis to use alternate credentials).

My post on this here: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/113525

TI 2014 seemed to do what I need and I wanted to upgrade from OEM to access the different backup options and scheduling etc.

How mature and reliable has 2014 been vs what people find with 2016?

Customer support is looking at downgrading one of my licenses to 2014 so I can use that. I'm on win 7 x64 still. Only potential issue I could see was win 10 upgrade and GPT/UEFI but support says that I should be fine.

Greetings,

2014 is not compatible with W10.  There have been reports from early adopters of W10 that they have successfully upgraded with 2014 installed on their machine, and it has continued to function.  However, if you are considering a solution for the long term, I'd run 2016.  Windows 10 is constantly evolving.  What works today, may not work tomorrow.  If you continue to use a unsupported version of ATIH with W10, you might be one update away from non functioning software. May work for a while, but no one knows what the future holds and which direction MS might go in.  Strictly my opinion, your mileage may vary.  Cheers!
