I try to recover backup files ....

Thread needs solution

I tried to recover file backup but Acronis lists old backup. I checked the folder and see there is october version of backup. But when I try to recover them, Acronis shows march version of it. I have backup for other dive with Acronice 2013 but that is OK. I am suing Acronis 2013.

Please help me.

Restores should be performed from the ATI bootable Rescue Media, not from Windows. Boot from the Rescue Media and see what backups are displayed.

Where are your backups located? On an internal drive; on an external USB drive; in the Acronis Secure Zone?

Backups are in D drive. Original files were in external Seagate hard drive and that hard drive is gone right now. Wheneve I recover files, I open Acronis and go to recover section and recover the files. This time, I opened Acronis and it allows me to choose what to recover. Again the issue is it showed me March version while I see Ocober version tib file in D drive. Strange. Any idea? I'd appreciate.

What version of Acronis True Image are you using?

Have you tried just double-clicking on the backup image file (.tib) in Windows Explorer, which should open the image and allow you to use Copy & Paste to recover files and folders from the backup that way.

To restore specific data, you have various options:

- You can boot from the ATI bootable Rescue Media and choose a files/folders restore, selecting the files and folders you wish to restore.

- If ATI is installed, you could mount the backup and copy files/folders from it to the drive.

- If ATI is installed, you could double-click the backup to open it in Windows Explorer, then copy files/folders from it to the drive.

- Within ATI, right-click on the backup you wish to restore from and select "Recover Files".

That gives you four methods, so at least one should suit you. :)
