Image Backups are automatically deleted after about 3 mounths
Have a number of backups, some are cold images, some created when running Windows 7, Vista or XP. All images stored to the same external USB drive and each image has its own folder.
I noticed that all my image backup created after about 90 days are deleted. The folder is still exists but the image file is gone / deleted. What is causing this?

No, I did not specify any deletion time. I did notice that by default with a "Cold" backup you have the option to create a new archive or use the existing archive, could this be the cause if a new archive is created?

A beginning place to look is the log file for TrueImage. If it was TI, the deletion will be recorded in the log file.
User invoking consolidation; or backup scheme settings; or Windows cleanup; or assorted utility type cleanup programs are all possibilities.
What type backup scheme are you using right now? Are you using full only, or full plus incremental or full plus differential?
A backup scheme with automatic cleanup using the option "store x number of recent chains" offers the user the most control over an orderly maintenance of backup storage folders. Here are 3 examples.

I'll see if there is a log file.
I perform a "Cold Image" backup of Windows by using the Acronis bootable media.
