Image Corrupt

Thread needs solution

I was installing WinTv 1.3C and the drivers and application cause so many problems that I had to re-install. I had backed up prior to installing the WinTV software. I backup on 3 separate drive ( local internal drive, Local usb drive, and to DVD Media. All backups were validated successfully. Now when I tried to re-image the drive I get image corrupt and not from just one but all 3 images. I even have and older backup that has been in a sealed case in my drawer safe and when trying to use that one it says it is also corrupt.

Okay before you jump, I have TrueImage Home 10.0.4942_s the latest version and all backups were created with that version except the backup from the safe. That was done in version 10.0 (when I first bought the software).

There are no hardware errors ran mem test and memory passes, have removed all hardware except video card and 2 hard drives and have switched between using SATA and IDE ( bios is set to IDE mode and not ACHI mode ) even tried ACHI mode but same error.

Now here is the funny part.....

I have a CD that I create with nLite that automates my Windows XP SP2 installation to include all patches, drivers, and hotfixes in unattended mode. So I installed TrueImage 10.04942_s on my laptop mount the image fine and was able to backup all files using Microsoft Backup without any errors. So I use my Automated CD and installed Windows XP SP2 and then installed TrueImage Home 10.0.4942_s and mount drive and was also able to backup all files with Microsoft Backup without error.

So what is this, Trueimage Home will not read any of the image files it creates even through the software says they are valid and I have no memory or hardware errors on my system. So what do I do with the backups I have, they are useless because the software can't even read it's own files, that is really bad. And I have not changed and hardware, I just never installed the WinTV software because of all the reviews that stated that the software was very unstable. Have been using Pinnacle Studio 12 and WINTV HVR-1850 and it has worked fine for capture and editing, but now need the tuner function and the only way is to install the software wintv unless there is something else someone could recommend.

See attached photos.

Any suggestion or should I just get different software cause it is apparent that TrueImage Home doesn't work

ARe you doing the restore with the BootCd? If so, can you validate the bakups also whenusing ATI from the BootCD. If not, but you can validate them when using ATI from within Win, then the liekly prob is that the BootCD doesn'thave the right hardware drivers for your particular machine and can read the drive properly. You can trying dowloading a diff iso file to burn a diff bootCD which might have the right drivers or contact support. You can get the iso if you register your serial number and go to the page with My Products and Downloads.
