Image disk only!

Thread needs solution

Is it possible to simply install the "image only" part of acronis?

I want to make periodic snapshots of my disk... have done so originally, but deinstalled the software after it was constantly banging my system as I used it ... I do not want auto backup, auto increment or auto anything, I don't want acronis overriding my windows security in the properties dialog, I don't want any help from acronis other than making an image of my disk that I initiate.

If they can't, can anyone recommend another product that does just that alone. Acronis is sufficiently annoying that I have junked it on 1 of 3 computers already and I am just looking for a simple manual solution.

Thanks... BTW acronis people you need to rethink the Microsoft philosophy of adding bells and whistles until a product becomes useless... I was an original user of Word 1.0 (junk) and upgraded each version until Word 5.0, stopped there and still use it just for that same reason. Simple is sometimes better... and simpler is always better... acronis has made the product so cumbersome load-wise that it is affecting my machine's performance.

Thanks for any help from anyone.

I hear you.

You could run ATI from the bootable Rescue Media when you wish to create disk backups. That would require no installation. I've often done that.
