Image DVD
I run Aconis TI 2010 on a Vista Business desktop.
MY daughter recently purchased a new notebook. We have replaced the vendor's system with the O/S from the hidden partition, and put a copy of the hidden partition onto 3 DVDs. Compaq's software only allows us to make 1 set of recovery disks.
How do I choose the internal optical drive (F:) as the partiton (disk) to back up? I want to make another set of recovery DVDs.
I put disk 1 in my optical drive (F:), and insert a blank DVD -R in an external optical drive (connecting it to 2 ports of a powered USB hub to ensure sufficient power to the drive, and connecting the hub to a rear USB port of my desktop. The hub came with this double ended USB cable). The external drive shows up as G:.
In Windows Explorer I can right click to obtain an option to copy the DVD, but I need an image, not just a copy of the files on F:.
Acronis starts up with the home tab selected. If I then choose Back up>my disks the only disk displayed is my internal hard-drive (3 Vista NTFS partitions, a Linux swap partition & an Ext3 partition).
