imaging a 2 tb drive with non crucial info

Thread needs solution

I have a 2tb drive that is my system drive that also has a TON more files stored on it. I do NOT need these files backed up.

Am I able to tell TI that I want to image the drive but not some files that I specify? Or am I to put in a smaller system drive so it can image the whole thing?

This is a BIG part of my decision on backup utilities.

Thanks so much

D.J.

Hello dj reese,

I understand your concern and will do my best to help you.

With Acronis True Image Home 2010 you can exclude files/folder that you don't want to be backed up. For example, you can exclude system or hidden files, or files with a certain extension. Please check Chapter 9.3.5 of Acronis True Image Home 2010 User's Guide for the detailed instructions on how to ecxlude files/folders.

You can also download a trial version of the software before purchasing it to make sure that it works well on your computer.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, I'll be glad to assist you.

Thank you.
