Impossible d'installer Acronis True Image 2015
Bonjour,
Merci d'avance.

Hello shadowsports and thanks for your answer, sorry for my bad english, I'm french ;=))
My message, via google translate :
Hello,
I had Acronis True Image 2012 Plus Pack + (PC 3) I wanted to replace it with Acronis True Image 2015 (3 PC); so I bought the necessary licenses and downloaded the required versions (update included).
Unfortunately I made a mistake: I had previously uninstalled the 2012 version on the 2 PCs that were equipped.
On the first PC, despite some difficulties, I managed to install the 2015 release.
The second, however, I stumbled upon the judgment of the installer of the 2015 version that systematically left me this message: "Unable to open key UNKNOW \ Components \ 7ABFE44842C12B390AF18C3B9B1A1EE8 \ 000021599B0090400100000000F01FEC. System error 5. Verify that you have the necessary access to that key, or contact your technical support. "
I tried both Cleanup Utility for version 2015 as 2012, including in Safe Mode. I checked the presence of Acronis in the device manager, I quit processes related to Acronis, nothing works, I always this message.
Even attempting to reinstall the 2012 version blocking out the same message.
For information, safeguards in 2012 were effected on an external eSATA hard drive connected and had deleted the backups after painfully uninstalled Version 2012 (the 2012 Plus Pack could not be uninstalled, corrupted, so I uninstalled 2012 version of "basic" program).
Just one word: help! ^^
Thank you in advance.
Thanks for your advices.

Hi Pierre,
I always recommend a clean install when upgrading from an older version to a new one. Meaning I would run the programs uninstaller and the Clean Up Utility for that version before installing the new version. This is because the architecture between versions can sometimes change dramatically.
Your error message clearly indicates there is a remnant registry value or key that has either not installed properly, or has halted install because it cannot be removed.
Some things you can try to get around this.
System Restore to a previous date/time, when everything worked.
Running the Acronis Clean Up Utility (correct one for the version of Acronis you are removing)
I remember dealing with the 2012 plus pack corruption issue, if you uninstalled the base app before uninstalling it. Reinstalling 2012 with a reboot then allowed you to uninstall the plus pack, and the the base program after.
However, if you are in a corrupt and unrecoverable state, using system restore is probably the best and safest way to proceed. A few more things for you to consider. When Acronis fails to install it generates a log which is helpful in diagnosing installation failures. Also, your error message appears to indicate a problem with permissions. This can be related to user permissions (account you are installing under) or more commonly when files that are trying to be removed are "in use" or locked by the OS.
If you have the .msi installer log with failures, we can look at that. If you have received other errors not included in your above post, these too may help.

Hello shadowsports,
To complicate the problem, the installation must be performed on a machine I remote control via Teamviewer, certain manipulations are so impossible to me; Moreover, I can access this machine on request, the ISP owner blocking any possibility of Wake On LAN. It may be that there have long delays between my messages, time to access the machine and test a solution or make a point.
The Restore Point solution is unfortunately forget - I had was considering - for multiple installations / uninstallations were made before by a cleaning via the Windows system disk utility, and via CCleaner. The only remaining restore point is that of the last program installed or updated, and this is unfortunately not True Image (big update of the PC).
Reinstalling Version 2012 Plus Pack + does not work it no longer, I get the same message with version 2015. gained consciousness I retenterais a reinstallation after 2012 and Clean Utility reboot.
This solution remains that I do not know where to find the ".msi install log" and how to view it or you transmit?
Thank you in advance.

Hello again ,
The 2012 version , unlike the 2015, offers me to record the famous " .msi install log" .
I sent you an attachment to this message.
Hope this can help ...

Good evening,
To solve my problem, apparently linked to a permissions problem, I wondered if I should not just turn on the Super Administrator account (the one used by Windows during installation), and proceed with the installation True Image 2015 from it; possibly, that account would be protected by a password and disabled - prudently - at the end of the operation.
But I ask myself two questions:
1 / Do I will not make mischief in the various existing rights on the machine by activating the Super Administrator? The style, if I disable it later, some problems will arise ...
2 / Is what I could have access to all functions of True Image 2015 from a "classic" Administrator account type, including whether the Super Administrator account is disabled? Or should he stay on? (In the latter case, it would not be a solution for me, the person holding the PC is very neophyte on this).
I venture to no manipulation before an informed opinion.
Thank you.

Good evening,
Victory , the solution was found.
The keys indicated to me the error messages ( there were two in the end who blocked ) were in triplicate in the registry ( same place ) ; both are suppressed without worries - they were empty - but the first which contained sub-keys could be removed.
So I changed the permissions of this key assumption that the "owner" is the Directors ( Attention with an s) ; this was the case , I have not changed anything .
In terms of key control options (Full Control , special car, etc.) I just added a new copy of the Directors ( with an s) which has a total control; Once a fact I modified qu'hérite rights "sub - users ' by checking the box at the bottom and I apply .
Miracle , the key becomes deletable and installation works .
