Incomplete backup

Thread needs solution

TI Home 2009.
I tried to install ver. 2010 in my W7 Os and it would not install. Instead it presented me with an incompatible message.
So I went back to 2009 and it installed OK. ran a few test images and then tried a file restore. Found out that the folder "MyDocuments" did not have anything in it. Should have at least about 50 folder with a bunch of files. Went thru all the settings and defaults.
At this point I don't know what to do. It seems that all the image programs that I have tried with W7 are having some sort of problems.
Any suggestions?

Hello William,

Let me assist you.

Please be aware that Acronis True Image Home 2009 is not compatible with Windows 7, so error-free backup creation and data recovery is not guaranteed.

Please try to install Acronis True Image 2010, that supports Windows 7 and try to back up and restore again. If there will be any issues with the installation, please feel free to reply to this thread, I'll be glad to assist you.

Thank you.

hate to sound like a broken record, but it's a good idea to use msconfig for your unistalls and installs of ATI in problem install cases:

Are you looking under \Users\[username]\Documents in the backup image? My Documents is a JUNCTION.
