Incremental Back up seems to freeze

Running Vista, with daily incremental backup. The backup gets to "Locking partition C......" Then nothing. I also noticed in the log the process is always getting kick to low priority. The machine seems to run very slowly for about 45 mintues. Some days the back runs fine in about 18 minutes. This machine is NOT on a network. One user. Using Acronis True Image 10. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This happens with an automatic update. I just ran it manually. It completed in 19 mintues. The warning messgae set to low priority still happened. The build number is 4871.

I would probably be best to update to the latest build number for that version - you can get it from the Acronis website. I think the latest build number is 49??.
