Incremental backup error, but job wasn't set up that way

Thread needs solution

I have two bat files I created that automatically look for an existing .tib with a specific name (PartialBackup_[ActualDayofWeek].tib or FullBackup.tib), and if found, delete it. It then kicks off TI9 with a specific script to create either a full backup or a "files and folders" backup. Upon completion, the backup file(s) are renamed to include the day of the week (PartialBackup_[ActualDayofWeek].tib or FullBackup.tib), and the jobs terminate normally. Both bats are kicked off as scheduled jobs, and this process *usually* work uneventfully.

However, randomly, for no reason I can see, despite neither the bat files nor the actual TI script being touched in months, one of the jobs, usually the partial backup I think, will abort with an error message about "Incremental backup not allowed", and hang until I realize it didn't run, and cancel it. Since I haven't touched any part of the process, and the jobs usually run normally, I'm at a loss to understand why this is happening. Anyone have any thoughts?

It happened again today, the log was showing that it couldn't do an incremental backup, even tho it was NOT set up that way, and the very same "canned" job ran perfectly 10-12 times or more before this one.

Can anyone comment on this?

TIA
