Incremental Makes Full Backups

Thread needs solution

I set up an Incremental scheme to backup my 740GB of photos which made a full backup and then six incrementals and keeping two chains as shown in the ATIH setup attachment. However, every so often ATIH makes what it calls an incremental backup of the whole 740 GB (See the photos4.tib and photos(1)3.tib entries in the file_sizes attachment. When I look at the dates in the page of the backup, these are listed as incremental, even though they are full backups. I recently purchased a 4TB disk to handle this backup problem, but if this continues even that disk will fill up with less than the programmed two versions. This may be a bug in the program or a bug in my expectations. Please help. Thanks

Based on the several reports, there appears to be a bug in ati2012 re running incs. Possibly related to the problem of the internal database not associating backups with tasks correctly.

In the ati interface, do the backups all show up as being under one task?

Yes they do. The large ones that are incorrect read as incremental when you move the cursor over the date. In the pictures, the ones that ended at 10:1X are incremental, the ones that ended at 5:4x in the morning are full size. The one on Saturday is correct, the two labeled Tue and Mon are actually full size, although they say they're incremental. Thank you for your response.

It appears that the latest version is build 5545, which is the one I have, so the operative word there is mostly. It's not all fixed.

Pretty MINOR BUG for a backup software. Incremental not working....

Just recording that I`m facing the same problem. My settings are simpler, towards having ATIH doing only incremental backups after the first full backup. Still, it is creating full backups instead of incrementals. That's on top of my previous post stating that Nonstop Backup is crashing everytime.

So, what part of the backing-up process IS working on this software? I have never, ever, had so much trouble with one piece of software. Acronis went REALLY BAD on this one. Shame on them.

Complementing my previous post, attached are the screenshots. VERY SIMPLE backup scheme. Do only incrementals after the first full backup. But the program is making full backups no matter what. This is the end of the line for me. I'm asking for a refund.
