Info about Acronis Backup
I´m using ATI 2014 Premium and never used the option to backup. When I need, I only make a manual backup from my partition and ready.
But I have another partition were I have all my documents. Manually I always copy my documents to an external harddrive. But it is too slow. It takes about 4 hours to copy my file to my HD.
So, I want to know, what option of Acronis I use to make a 1º backup, and then only updates this backup automatically, removing what I deleted before, and adding new stuff. It seems to be incremental backup.
But I don´t know if it is so.
Can someone help me with the kinds of backup Acronis have and how they work ?
thanks

Not too many ppl use Acronis for backing up their personal files as the backups can only be recovered by using Acronis. So it's preferable to use a backup method that either keeps your files in their native format or uses one of the widely available compression tools such as zip or rar. That way they can be recovered on any computer. My preference is to use a sync tool such as SyncBack Free or Microsoft's SyncToy but, despite the fact it isn't free and has a pig of a UI, I also use WinRAR as that really is a set it and forget it backup tool where files can also be recovered with the free 7-Zip.
The sync programs just keep a copy of your folders as at the last backup. WinRAR can be configured to keep every incremental backup it has made should you so wish.
