Install TI?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've been using TrueImage on Servers and Workstations for over ten years, However, I seldom install TrueImage on the machine but use the boot media instead, when the need arises.

The reason for this was that I found machines to be rather sluggish after TI was installed, especially since the TI "Add-Ons" (like Try & Decide) that I don't ever use were installed without asking with all their filters and drivers and background tasks and whatever more.

But: That has been years ago. While the ballast of TI has hardly reduced, and things like "T&D" still can't be prevented from installing as far as I know, the useful features have grown, too. Additionally, always having to reboot and forget the machine for the next hours to make a backup is growing more and more uncomfortable as disk sizes increase.

That's why I want to ask the experience of forum readers:

- Do you actually install TI on your machines?

- What is the performance footprint of TI on normal machines? Does it slow down the machine noticably?

- I've had conflicts between the TI driver and normal disc drivers (long stories.) Do those still occur in later versions of TI? Have you experienced such at all?

Regs,
VGER
