Intel RAID support in ATI Home 2011?
Hi All,
Am currently evaluating True Image Home 2011 before going live with the software. I am running it on a test system that is fairly similar to my live system (details below) but am having difficulties in restoring a disk image to a RAID array and can't seem to find any previous posts on this forum on the subject. I'll post the details later but I thought I'd start with a simple question:
Does the recovery disk (that you burn from within the main software) support RAID arrays built using the Intel ICH8R controller?
My test rig has 3x Samsung 300GB drives in RAID 0 on an Intel ICH8R southbridge and I can't seem to get it to recognise the RAID array when using the recovery media (both from the disk and when initiated from within Windows). Sometimes it kills the array and shows up 3 separate disks, sometimes it shows nothing.
My 'live' rig uses the more recent ICH10R chipset along with 3x OCZ Vertex2 drives. Will I have the same problem with this setup or will the recovery media recognise the array and allow a restore to it? I've not tested on this yet as don't want to kill the array.
Many thanks in advance - more info available on request.
B

Thanks for that.
Does anyone from Acronis have any comment to make on this issue?
Ben.
