internet connection stucks when connecting to online server ****

In the Backup menue: when I try to connect with Online server or when I select "apply for online backup" then the internet -connection stucks and I have to reboot the PC.

I there any solution ?

I will do everything possible to solve the issue but first could you please clarify do you receive any error messages when you try to use Online Backup option or the application freezes? You see it’s not clear why do you have to reboot your computer.

Please note that Acronis Online Backup needs to have access to the following hostnames and ports:

  • Hostname: ro11689.plusserver.de; Port: 55556
  • Hostname: storage.acronis-hosting.com; Port: 44445

You can check if the ports and hostnames are open in your network by issuing the telnet command. If they are accessible, you will see a blank screen after issuing the command:

telnet storage.acronis-hosting.com 44445

telnet ro11689.plusserver.de 55556


In Windows Vista and Windows 7 you may need to enable telnet first:

  • Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Programs;
  • Under Programs and features, click Turn Windows features on or off;
  • Tick off both Telnet Client and Telnet Server;
  • Click OK.

If you have Firewall enabled please check that Acronis True Image Home 2010 is in the list of Trusted Applications.
